Zup helps you prepare and share social posts. You remain responsible for the photos, captions, mentions, and posts you choose to share or publish.

Your content

You keep ownership of your content. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to edit and share the photos and text you submit.

AI-generated suggestions

Captions are suggestions and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Review every result before copying, sharing, or publishing it. Generating or saving a caption does not publish it, and Zup asks for a final confirmation before each direct publish to X, Instagram, a Facebook Page, LinkedIn, or TikTok or each TikTok inbox-draft delivery.

Interactive Generate defaults to OpenRouter vision, with TokenRouter vision and Mistral available as alternatives. TokenRouter defaults new users to Google Gemini 3.7 Flash and lets you choose GPT-5.4 Image 2 or another compatible vision-caption model from its current catalog. Selecting a provider or model does not upload anything. Zup asks for separate photo-sharing permission before activating each provider and model, and only the selected, activated choice is used. Apple’s on-device model remains part of the separately configured Daily suggestion flow on supported devices.

When you request a hosted caption, resized selected photos and caption context are processed according to your chosen provider. OpenRouter routes the request to the selected Gemini model or Ox Alpha. Ox Alpha is an anonymous-provider preview whose provider retains prompts and completions but states that it does not use them for training. TokenRouter routes the request to the provider serving the TokenRouter model you selected, and that processing is subject to TokenRouter’s and the selected model provider’s applicable terms and data practices. Mistral requests are relayed directly to Mistral AI and are subject to Mistral AI’s applicable terms and privacy policy. Preparing automatic Mistral captions for Daily suggestions requires a separate permission.

AI photo editing

If you allow Zup AI photo editing, a resized copy of the selected photo and your edit request are processed by xAI through Zup’s protected relay. Generated edits may change, omit, or invent visual details. Review every result before sharing it. Zup keeps the original photo untouched and provides undo and restore-original controls, but you remain responsible for the edited image you choose to use.

Sharing and platform rules

Instagram Feed posts use connected-account publishing. Instagram’s publishing API does not accept Story captions, so a captioned Story opens Instagram’s native editor with the selected photo and copies the reviewed caption for the user to paste before publishing; a photo-only Story can use connected-account publishing. TikTok Share Kit remains an optional fallback. When you connect a supported social account and confirm a post, Zup sends the selected content and required posting settings through its publishing service to that network. If you instead confirm a TikTok inbox draft, you finish editing and publishing it in TikTok. Apple’s share sheet remains available for other compatible apps. Your use of Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other destinations is also governed by those platforms’ terms and policies. Availability, posting limits, and developer access can change.

Service availability

Zup may change, suspend, or discontinue features as platform APIs and operating-system capabilities evolve. The service is provided without a guarantee that every third-party handoff, direct publish, or share action will always be available.
